Jonathan

Like many others I also attended the Advanced Engineering Show at the NEC.

It was reassuring to see so many strong and talented UK Precision Engineering Companies and most reporting that the show had been a great success for them.

I spoke to a couple of MDs that had received orders at the show that more than covered the cost of the 2 or 3 days out of the office.

Well done! Brings back memories of our 24hr ride last summer for the Scope charity. 'That hill' at Dover, the relentless mile after mile throughout the night, cold, wet and a long way from anywhere. Desperate fro dawn to break. It was great (looking back)!
Our ride was supposed to be in relay but my team-mate Chris and I decided we'd try and do the whole ride together. We cut it even closer than you, we made it with just under 2 minutes to spare!

I left the tour today after my two rides and returned to london - 8 hours on the train then 10 miles cycling across London in the rush hour - I'd have rather done Aberdeen to Inverness again!

Some pictures here http://www.flickr.com/photos/8409224@N06/sets/72157624307118480/show/

Thanks to all who made this such an enjoyable event.
Good luck to Ray on the last day.
And the biggest thanks of all to everyone that donated to all the good causes supported by the tour - that is what it is all about.
